Good things will always come to light! Geek Events was announced the Silver winner in the Best Consumer Event: Esports category at the ninth annual edition of the Marketing Events Awards 2021. This award is for the PUBG Mobile Dew Challenge that was held from December 2020 to January 2021.
The Marketing Events Awards, organised by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, honours and rewards excellence in event marketing across Southeast Asia, South Asia and ANZ regions. The award categories covered the full spectrum of event marketing. All entries were evaluated and judged by a panel of senior, client-side marketers and event experts who have vast experience in event marketing. Judged solely by an independent panel of senior, brand-side marketers, the awards present the perfect opportunity to not only showcase your best work to the wider industry and potential future clients but increase credibility for your events and mark yourself as an industry leader.
An overview of the PUBG Mobile Dew Challenge 2020/2021, it is one of the biggest amateur PUBG Mobile tournaments in Malaysia and Singapore. Geek Events conceptualised the idea of having the code printed on the inside of the bottle cap, and this code was what was needed for the participants to register for the tournament.
This tournament produced 1 Million bottles all across Malaysia and Singapore with a total of 10,240 participants! The event ended with a bang on 29th January 2021, with ESDK Reviens being crowned the Champions. This was the weekend where Geek Events also handled MCP Majors Season 1, and the Malaysia Esports Championship 2020/2021 concurrently.
