MEC Charity Showmatch was the prequel to the Malaysia Esports Championship 2021/2022 that took place in October 2021, over a span of 2 days. The first day saw 6 popular Malaysian streamers streaming for charity, where on the second day, we witnessed 4 of the most popular teams in Malaysia battle it out with different unique sets of rules. All Facebook stars collected were donated to Happy Bank, a non-profit organisation that aims to support and help the underprivileged community in Malaysia through various programmes and events.
Popular Malaysian streamers included SleepyGodzillas, Feekz, Sultan Riq who played Mobile Legends and Sharina Richie, ICA and Xfiq who played PUBG Mobile. Teams included Geek Fam, Orange Esports, EBLZ and Team Bosskurr.
