Free Fire MCP Majors Season 1 was the first tournament to offer participants a chance to climb to world rankings and compete internationally to carve a name and win big! It began in January, followed by the Free Fire Malaysia Championship, which took place between May and July, and Free Fire MCP Majors Season 2 between July and September. The champion of Free Fire MCP Majors Season 1 won the opportunity to play among other players from 14 other regions in the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2021.
Geek Events created a 3D virtual set for the online tournament, as well as set up an anti-cheat system to ensure that the gameplay was fair and smooth. The tournament had a total prize pool of $50,000 USD, as well as the chance for Top 6 teams to advance to the MCP Majors Season 2, and a chance for the Champion to qualify for the World Series Singapore – Finals event.
Top 6 teams that advanced were Geek Fam, AutoKnockout, Blacklist International, Supreme Assault Forces, Freedom Rumble and Fast Kill, with Geek Fam securing the 1st place finishing to head to the World Series – Singapore Finals.
