Malaysia Esports Championship 2021/2022

The Malaysia Esports Championship 2021/2022 (MEC 2021/2022) was the second edition of the Malaysian Esports Championship (MEC) series, hosted by Esports Integrated (ESI) and the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), and organised by Alhamra Games and Geek Events. With a prize pool of RM100,000, this tournament was held over a span of over one month, starting from December 2021 till the second week of January 2022.

Four game titles were played, namely Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, DOTA 2 and FIFA 22. The qualifiers were held online over 3 weeks, whereas the Grand Finals was held offline over 3 days at KL Gateway Mall.

VIPs who attended included YB Senator Dato’ Sri. Ti Lian Ker, and Ahmed Faris Amir, CEO of ESI. Media were also in attendance over the 3-day period to cover the event.
